Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the fight against food poverty. We are looking for someone who is great with people, highly organised, and digitally savvy to help us end the need for foodbanks for good. This is a varied and vital job at the heart of our small but growing team: you will be working on campaigns and appeals, supporting community events, looking after our corporate friends, keeping our database up to date, creating social media content, and getting involved at the frontline of fundraising.
For this role, attitude and enthusiasm are more important than experience. We will support the right person to build their skills and knowledge across our different fundraising streams as we grow them together. You may have some fundraising experience, you may have customer service experience in retail or hospitality, or you may come from another background altogether and are looking to re-join the workforce or take your career in a different direction.

Edinburgh Food Project was established in 2012 with the aim of reducing the effects of food poverty in Edinburgh by providing emergency food parcels to those in the community most in need. Over the last three years, we have been transitioning our 7 foodbank centres into “More than Food” hubs to allow our clients to access dedicated support to help them with their immediate and underlying problems to reduce/eliminate their need for food bank assistance and build their financial resilience for the future.
Edinburgh Food Project are now going through a period of change, developing their strategy to reflect the Scottish Government Consultation: Ending the need for foodbanks, and the Poverty Commission’s Report, A Just Capital.
Purpose of Role:
The role of Triage Adviser is to support clients by offering them initial advice and support with welfare benefits and money management, including referring to other organisations. In addition, the role involves general administrative tasks such as answering phone calls and emails, creating client records, and arranging appointments with Money Advice Service advisers.

The manager will oversee the work of the Perth and Kinross Foodbank, ensuring a high quality, consistent, non-judgmental service is provided to local people in need of support.
The Manager will be accountable for achieving the Foodbank Strategic Plan, (developed in conjunction with the Board), building the reputation and profile of Perth and Kinross Foodbank, managing the external and internal operations, including line-management of staff, and providing consistent high-level advice to the Board on operations, policy and
planning.
Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the successful applicant will be highly motivated, with proven personal and organisational skills, the ability to provide supportive management of staff and volunteers, and with a commitment to equality, diversity and respect. Writing and IT skills will be essential. An ability to use social media to promote the Foodbank will be an advantage. Current UK driving licence and willingness to drive essential, as is an understanding and support of the Vision and Values of the Trussell Trust to which the Foodbank is affiliated.

Dundee & Angus Foodbank is a Christian charity committed to a hunger-free future and supporting people out of poverty. The Hub Coordinator will lead the activity of Community Hub, which is scheduled to open in June 2023. Dundee & Angus Foodbank is affiliated to The Trussell Trust network and this role sits within their Pathfinders programme locally, which will be led by the Pathfinder Lead. The successful applicant will report to the Pathfinder Lead, who will be a new recruit.
Role Requirements
We seek a warm individual with experience of working in or managing a café as part of a voluntary organisation or with transferrable skills. This person will require the sensitivity to work with people experiencing poverty. Good coordination and administrative skills as well as an understanding of foodbanks and poverty are desirable. This is a senior leadership post with a genuine occupational requirement (GOR) that the successful applicant be a person of active Christian faith.
