Changeworks has been leading the way in delivering low-carbon living and tackling fuel poverty for over 35 years, and we need an experienced Project Manager to help us develop and implement new services for the future. Changeworks is developing and implementing new services to help people reduce their energy usage. That’s where you come in. You’ll use your background in project management in an operational environment, to lead colleagues in the design, implementation, and delivery of these services. You’ll be responsible for the financial and commercial aspects of the projects and ensuring the services meet targets against plans.

Your role will involve working with a number of colleagues and partners to bring new commercially viable energy advice services to life. Your skills and experience in agile methodology and service delivery will be key to the success of the work you do.

You’ll also be confident in leading by example and motivating a project team to achieve their best. This role will involve using your strong communication skills to keep all stakeholders well informed and involved. You’ll be well versed in building strong and effective relationships with teams and partners to ensure the success of different projects.

This role is fixed term for 6 months and reports directly to our Operational Director. Any additional experience you already have in user or service design would be advantageous.

We are seeking a proactive energetic individual who has a real understanding of the challenges facing people in our local communities and can build relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.

This is an innovative new project building on current developments and pilot sessions, working in partnership with The Trussell Trust to develop new community based ‘cash first’ responses to food insecurity. The overall aim is to reduce the need for food support by:

1. increasing access to effective advice through embedding cash first volunteers at community access points

2. enabling foodbank referrers and other front-line staff to adopt a cash first approach (helping people access cash/money advice before referral to foodbanks)

The Coordinator, working closely with the Dundee Community Food Network Project Lead, will be responsible for leading the development of the Cash First Training Programme (including attaining accreditation); recruitment, training and support to Cash First Volunteers; development of a 3 Step Referral Strategy (including e-learning and remote learning options) and delivery of this strategy to a wider cohort of stakeholders.

At the heart of this work is partnership with The Trussell Trust, Dundee Community Food Network, Dundee and Angus Foodbank, Dundee City Council Advice Services, Citizens Advice Bureau Dundee, Brooksbank, NHS Public Health, and other key partners.

Community Links is looking for an enthusiastic community-minded individual to support our Community Development team, deliver local Neighbourhood Plans and expand our established Local Area Networks by strengthening relationships with community groups, third sector organisations, and public services. About the role:

The Community Development Worker post offers a unique opportunity for someone who is committed to creatively utilising and developing their knowledge and skills in engaging with communities, providing services and acting as a connector for local people to access additional services they may need, and getting more involved in their community.

There will be a focus on: raising awareness and involving communities in the development of our projects and community relationships; cultivating strong relationships with Local Area Networks, local communities, and third sector / public service partner organisations; developing resources and materials; and teamwork; and continuing our existing online presence.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support and develop already-established community hubs; continue and develop existing partner relationships; prioritise, plan and implement community-led action for community capacity building and net zero
• Work with people at all levels, local community volunteer groups, to ensure plans are aligned and integrated with the project priorities
• Work with other team members to promote activities and opportunities to our wider communities
• Cascade training to local people to create a network of Community Climate Change Champions
• Support and assist with planning and monitoring the projects - namely local neighbourhood plans - whilst collecting evidence, stories and testimonies
• Create content for promotion on social media and target advertising
• Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and development and participate in any training opportunities
