Role
The Royal College of General Practitioners is the largest membership organisation solely for GPs in the United Kingdom. Founded in 1952, it has over 54,000 members who are committed to improving patient care, developing their own skills and promoting general practice as a discipline. General practice is the largest branch of the medical profession. It provides some 1 million consultations for patients in the UK every working day and deals with 86% of the health problems experienced by the UK population.
RCGP Scotland has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Projects Officer to manage and deliver a range of diverse projects aimed at supporting GPs to deliver the best possible care to patients. The ideal candidate will have proven project management experience, from preparation of project proposals through to implementation and completion, and knowledge in setting and managing project budgets.
You will be a self-starter with the ability to work on your own initiative with effective time management skills to deliver high quality work to tight deadlines with competing demands. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop effective marketing strategies to promote activities and raise the profile of projects.
You will have the expertise to provide line management support to other members in the team in the absence of the team manager, with the ability to support and motivate and to build effective working relationships with both colleagues and external stakeholders alike.
This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in activities which support GPs at all stages of their career, and which will improve primary healthcare in Scotland.
This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis of 35 hours per week. The role will involve hybrid working with a minimum of two working days in the Edinburgh office in the city centre. We offer flexible working hours Monday to Friday.

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen within the Scottish Episcopal Church (SEC) for a Net Zero Delivery Director. The SEC has already published its Net Zero Toolkit and Check List and is currently consulting on its Net Zero Action Plan 2023-30.
Your role will be to lead the delivery of the ambitious Net Zero Action Plan, to find creative solutions to real challenges, to provide guidance and resources, to advise churches and liaise with national partners on this important agenda.
You will be part of a national team based at the General Synod Office in Edinburgh reporting to the Secretary General and empowering a team of Net Zero Delivery Managers across the SEC’s seven Dioceses in Scotland. The SEC comprises some 300 churches, with a total membership of about 25,000. The Provincial Environment Group is steering this important work and the postholder will provide progress reports and advice as necessary.

Electrical Safety First is the UK’s leading charity on electrical safety. We want to make sure that everyone in the UK can use electricity safely, and work with the media, government, businesses and the electrical industry to spread our safety messages far and wide.
The charity campaigns on issues that include the need for regular electrical checks, the sale of dangerous electrical goods on online market places, product recall and registration, electrical DIY, and the importance of using registered electricians.
As well as raising awareness with the public, we work with politicians to ensure that the Government is doing all it can to keep people safe from electrical accidents and we deliver targeted funding support for those more vulnerable to harm caused by electricity.
The role

Campaigning charity, Electrical Safety First, is looking for a Grants and Outreach Officer. You'll play a crucial role in the delivery of our grant scheme programme, which supports community-based organisations to keep people safe when using electricity. Your work will help us reach more communities, aiding the growth of our outreach activities.
You’ll develop relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, from local government, to fire and rescue services, and local safety organisations. You'll lead our interaction with local communities and spread awareness of our safety messages and our campaigns. So, you’ll need to be able to travel when required.
If you have experience in the following, we would love to hear from you:
- Experience in grants management or related area.
- Excellent organisational, administration and project management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive ‘can do’ attitude with a clear focus on outcomes and impact.
This is a part-time role (circa 21 hours) offered on a one-year fixed term contract initially. However, it may become permanent beyond this period.

About you
We are looking for an exceptional self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills who will be required to present and research topics with high attention to details and accuracy. The role holder should be educated to degree level with experience in project and process administration and delivering pieces of work to time, budget and standards agreed. You will need to have an understanding of accreditation processes or other quality systems as well as general health and cancer knowledge. Experience of writing reports and giving presentations to different audiences, and evidence of building effective relationships to deliver objectives is also required.

The Clinical Service Excellence Programme (CSEP) is a Myeloma UK best practice accreditation programme for myeloma centres, developed in partnership with patients, family members and healthcare professionals. The programme is designed to support hospitals deliver optimum care covering the whole patient journey (diagnosis to end of life); positively influence clinical practice; celebrate success; identify areas for improvement; drive equity of care and outcomes; and support patient-centred decision making. The programme works in close partnership with hospitals to support them in their role to achieve best practice in their care and support of myeloma patients and their families.

Rock Trust are delighted to be launching Upstream Scotland, an innovative schools-based preventive model that utilises a universal screening tool to identify and support students at risk of homelessness. We are looking for a passionate and driven Service Coordinator to lead this exciting new venture.
