Role
Dundee & Angus Foodbank is a Christian charity committed to a hunger-free future and supporting people out of poverty and is affiliated to The Trussell Trust network. The Pathfinder Lead will be directly responsible for operational delivery of the Pathfinders programme and its priority aims through Dundee & Angus Foodbank Community Hub, which is scheduled to open in June 2023. The successful applicant will report to the Dundee & Angus Foodbank Manager and will be responsible for line management of the Hub Coordinator, who will be a new recruit.
Role Requirements
We seek a leader with a track record of operational effectiveness in a voluntary organisation, business setting or equivalent. Good management, administrative skills and an understanding of foodbanks as well as poverty are all crucial. This person will require the sensitivity to work with people experiencing poverty. This is a senior leadership post with a genuine occupational requirement (GOR) that the successful applicant be a person of active Christian faith.

The manager will oversee the work of the Perth and Kinross Foodbank, ensuring a high quality, consistent, non-judgmental service is provided to local people in need of support.
The Manager will be accountable for achieving the Foodbank Strategic Plan, (developed in conjunction with the Board), building the reputation and profile of Perth and Kinross Foodbank, managing the external and internal operations, including line-management of staff, and providing consistent high-level advice to the Board on operations, policy and
planning.
Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the successful applicant will be highly motivated, with proven personal and organisational skills, the ability to provide supportive management of staff and volunteers, and with a commitment to equality, diversity and respect. Writing and IT skills will be essential. An ability to use social media to promote the Foodbank will be an advantage. Current UK driving licence and willingness to drive essential, as is an understanding and support of the Vision and Values of the Trussell Trust to which the Foodbank is affiliated.

We are seeking a proactive energetic individual who has a real understanding of the challenges facing people in our local communities and can build relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.
This is an innovative new project building on current developments and pilot sessions, working in partnership with The Trussell Trust to develop new community based ‘cash first’ responses to food insecurity. The overall aim is to reduce the need for food support by:
1. increasing access to effective advice through embedding cash first volunteers at community access points
2. enabling foodbank referrers and other front-line staff to adopt a cash first approach (helping people access cash/money advice before referral to foodbanks)
The Coordinator, working closely with the Dundee Community Food Network Project Lead, will be responsible for leading the development of the Cash First Training Programme (including attaining accreditation); recruitment, training and support to Cash First Volunteers; development of a 3 Step Referral Strategy (including e-learning and remote learning options) and delivery of this strategy to a wider cohort of stakeholders.
At the heart of this work is partnership with The Trussell Trust, Dundee Community Food Network, Dundee and Angus Foodbank, Dundee City Council Advice Services, Citizens Advice Bureau Dundee, Brooksbank, NHS Public Health, and other key partners.

SPYF Community Centre Manager

The SPYF Molendinar Community Centre Manager will play a key role in the day-to-day management and ensure the smooth running of the SPYF Molendinar Community Centre in Blackhill, which has been closed for the last three years. Thanks to funding from Glasgow City Council’s Place Fund, the manager will have six members of staff to lead.
