Our Turning Point Scotland Services in Renfrewshire Homelessness Services are looking for people like you to help provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on an individual 1:1 basis or alongside others and as part of a team.

About The Service / Role

We recognise that many people who have experienced, or are continuing to experience trauma in their life struggle to engage with mainstream services. This leaves individuals at greater risk of health harm, homelessness and alcohol and other drugs related deaths. The MYLA Team will operate within the Homelessness Support Services Renfrewshire (hereafter, the Team) will engage with people who are experiencing challenges in their life related to alcohol, other drugs, and / or housing / homelessness. The Team will work with people who are; Not engaged in services; Partially engaged in services, perhaps only engaging in prescribed medication, but not engaged in psychosocial interventions; Sporadically engaged with services; Lost contact with services.

We will deliver support in the following ways;

Assertive Outreach - We will use evidence-based assertive engagement approaches and triage people to make a decision on whether they will access further support from TPS or connect people into another part of the system.

Low level support care co-ordination – We assist people to access other key services to promote their wellbeing, ensuring they are linked into Medically Assisted Treatment if appropriate, ensuring they are accessing all relevant benefits, taking them to appointments, liaising with other professionals. We will also provide support with housing related tasks / functions.

High level support and care co-ordination – We will deliver support as stated in the lower tier as well developing a therapeutic relationship with the individual. This will include delivering support that will include assessment and recovery planning; Harm Reduction and Relapse Prevention; Alcohol and Drug Brief Interventions; Motivational Interviewing; and solution focused approaches.

You will work as part of a team of 3 workers, you will carry a mixed caseload of assertive outreach, low and high level support and care co-ordination of people who have been identified as needing support with problematic Alcohol and or other Drug issues and possibly housing support.

About You

• Recognise problematic Alcohol and Drug issues as a health issue and be passionate about supporting people to reduce harm and / or recover.
• Have some experience of delivering support to individuals with severe and multiple disadvantage, and at least a basic knowledge of the effects and supports available to individuals who are experiencing problematic Alcohol and Other Drug issues.
• Be able work in a way that provides service users with choice and control in their life, helping them to develop a sense of themselves and belonging.
• Recognise the wide ranging support expected as part of Housing Support

Angus Citizens Advice Bureau is an independent and innovative advice organisation providing holistic advice and support to local people. Over the last year we’ve worked with approximately 3500 clients on a variety of different advice topics. We are a friendly and welcoming team made up of around 16 paid staff and around 35 volunteers that offer generalist advice to clients alongside more specific projects. Angus CAB was formed in 1985 and we are keen to ensure we remain here in Angus providing people with high quality advice for many, many years to come.

That’s where this role comes in! We are looking for a highly motivated Fundraising Officer to join our team to focus on funding applications to ensure our resourcing meets the demands that are placed upon us. This is a sole fundraising role, so the successful applicant should be comfortable working alone, although they will have the ongoing support of the Chief Officer and any other relevant members of the team to provide information and context to support applications and bid-writing. In return for your expertise we are happy to be flexible around the days worked and where you base yourself, and you will join a team of very hard working people who are all passionate about achieving great outcomes for our Angus clients.

Aid to the Church in Need is a Catholic charity, supporting persecuted and suffering Christians around the world.

Working alongside the Community Fundraiser in Scotland, this key part-time role will engage with both primary and secondary schools in the Catholic Dioceses of Galloway, Paisley, Glasgow and Motherwell, in order to support them in delivering the ACN Schools Programme and expanding the take up of the programme, increasing school engagement and delivering assemblies in person and virtually.

As Engagement and Events Officer, you will take on a central role in the Bild Communications Team.

Responsible for the development and implementation of engagement activity across Bild’s core membership, Communities of Practice and key stakeholder groups, whilst leading our numerous engagement events, this busy but rewarding role will provide the opportunity for you to develop key marketing and communications skills across a variety of activities, with the support of an experienced and passionate communications and senior leadership team.

Bild has a strong membership base and a wide range of stakeholders across the organisation. The Engagement and Events Officer acts as the glue between our different areas of activity, ensuring people feel connected and engaged with the work taking place across the Group.

You will work as part of a small, friendly, dynamic team, committed to protecting and championing the rights of people with learning disabilities and autistic people. Through your work on webinars, events, developing membership and supporting Communities of Practice, you will support the wider communication team activity and strategic direction of the Bild Group.
