We are seeking a part time Trainee Youth Worker who is passionate about developing a career in supporting young people to achieve success and experience new opportunities.
We are looking for an individual between the ages of 16 – 24 to take on an exciting Traineeship in the field of youth work. As part of the traineeship, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop their practical leadership skills alongside their communication skills as they gain experience of working in a vibrant and exciting youth work project. They will also be expected to take part in a tailored course of learning outside of work to develop their qualifications for a future role in youth work.
Applicants should have significant interest and passion in a future career in supporting young people. Although no specific experience is necessary those who have previously supported young people in any setting will highlight this in their application.
The successful applicant will be required to be(come) a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Scheme and the appointment will be subject to a satisfactory PVG Scheme Disclosure.
