Role

Purpose of role

Key member of the Human Resources Team, reporting to the Head of HR, being responsible for first line HR support and advice to managers on all people policies and processes on a day-to-day basis across Capella, supporting Teens+ and Sleep Scotland.

Responsible for leading HR processes across the employee lifecycle, including but not limited to; recruitment and induction, HR administration, absence management, employee relations, providing information to payroll as well as undertaking project work.

We have created this new role to support the HR function of the charity. In this role, you will provide professional HR advice and support to ensure the delivery of a pro-active, solutions focused HR service aligned to the organisational objectives and values. You’ll act as HR lead on case work, working closely with managers in the adoption of appropriate and pro-active HR solutions

We’re keen to hear from candidates who have a proven track record in HR at a professional level within a complex operating environment. The successful candidate will have experience of providing high quality advice and guidance on a range of HR matters, including the application of HR policy, as well as a track record of handling an HR case work portfolio. You’ll have a well-developed knowledge of HR best practice and employment legislation, and the ability to adopt a consultancy style, HR business partnering approach, with proven influencing, judgement, analytical and problem solving ability.
