An exciting opportunity has arisen at Disability Equality Scotland. We are seeking an experienced Project Development
Worker to join our team.
Disability Equality Scotland is a membership organisation for disabled people and disability groups/organisations.

We promote access in its widest sense, including access to our built and natural environment and access to the same
and equal opportunities as enjoyed by others in our communities, promoting a life of dignity, respect, choice,
and independence. This extends beyond physical access to include access to information, access to inclusive
communication and inclusion in decision-making, whether with planners over inclusive design or transport
providers about accessible and safe travel.
Disability Equality Scotland is a key delivery partner of both Inspiring Scotland and Transport Scotland. In 2020 we
launched a pilot of Scotland’s first National Hate Crime Charter with key transport providers. The pilot
included front-facing staff, managers and passengers and successfully reached over 1.2million passengers in an
eight-week period.
The successful candidate will be responsible for (though not exclusively): the project management of the Hate Crime
Charter activities; ongoing training and development, in association with transport providers across Scotland;
and undertaking monitoring and evaluation of the project,
