Role

The Edinburgh College Development Trust is a charity that exists to support students of Edinburgh College, across all campuses, and all subjects, by disbursing Trust funds given by donors.

Further information can be found at: Edinburgh College Development Trust | Edinburgh College

Since its foundation in 2014, the Trust has secured funds from corporate, individual and trust sources for a range of scholarships, student-led initiatives, projects and campus improvements.

The Trust meets four times a year for two-hour meetings (in person and on line), to discuss fundraising, and to agree the investment of Trust funds in projects which benefit students at the College.

We are now seeking additional Trustees with experience of fundraising to build on our successes, and widen the work and impact of the Trust. We are looking for people with experience in the following key areas:

  • Grant applications and fundraising
  • Philanthropic donor relations
  • Grant awards
  • Alumni relations

Initially the appointment of new Trustees would be for a year, with the option to extend another year if desired.

If you have experience in the above areas, an interest in education and career development, and can engage with donors and beneficiaries, then we would be very interested to hear from you.
