Aberlour’s Guardianship Service supports unaccompanied asylum seeking or trafficked children and young people to understand their progress through the asylum system, feel supported through the process, access the help they need and make informed decisions based on the available options. We help refugee children and young people, and victims of trafficking who arrive in Scotland without their parents.
We are expanding and adapting elements of our existing Service to support unaccompanied Ukrainian children and young people. We will offer family based support services to Ukrainian young people, host families and carers, supporting young people to make sense of and settle into a new life in Scotland. We will nurture safety and wellbeing and social connections. We will work across the third sector to support capacity building within local authorities and to share information and learning.
This post is currently part funded by the Scottish Government until September 2023 (15 hours per week) and also part funded by the EU Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund until December 2023 (18.75 hours per week). However we are continuously seeking further funding to allow us to extend these contracts beyond these dates.
What we are looking for....
We are looking to recruit an experienced administrator. You will support the service with general and financial administrative tasks, as well as respond to enquiries via phone and email. You will have administrative experience gained through working within a busy office or social care environment. You will be experienced working with Microsoft Office packages including Excel and be able to create spreadsheets and deal with numerical information. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills.
You will ideally have a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or equivalent experience.
