Glasgow South East Carers Centre provides services to unpaid family Carers, who look after a family member or friend who cannot manage alone due to illness or disability, including Young Carers and their families.
Delivering key supports and services to Carers, Young Carers and their families the FSW post will provide a coordinated approach to inclusive and holistic support through the provision of a range of person centred, coordinated, and outcome focussed services. This will include working in partnership with a range of statutory, voluntary and community organisations.
Although experience is desirable, a willingness and commitment to learning is key, underpinned by strong administrative, communication, and organisational skills.
The successful candidate will have a firm understanding and appreciation of unpaid family Carers, their roles, contribution and value to our communities. The focus for this post will be working with carers, young carers and their families in the community.
Applicants must have an understanding of and commitment to the needs of carers, have excellent written and oral communication skills, have experience of developing support plans, providing an information and advice service, planning and delivery of services to support carers and have a knowledge and understanding of the policy drivers for unpaid carers, especially in relation to the Carers Act.

We are seeking to engage an Independent Sector Lead (Care at Home) to support the Integration of Health and Social Care in North Highland. Hosted by Scottish Care and working closely with care providers and partners, the post involves ensuring sector involvement in the delivery of the integrating of health and social care in Scotland’s HSCPs.
The post holder must be highly motivated, be able to use initiative, possess excellent communication and networking skills, demonstrate success and experience working at strategic level with policy makers, providers, regulators, people supported by services and carers. Qualifications and experience at a senior management level would be a significant advantage.
The post holder will be expected to create and support significant collaborations across the independent care sector while contributing to the development of new care pathways which will result in the delivery of improved outcomes for people who access care and support. The post holder will ensure the Independent Sector’s contribution is fundamental to integrated services and transformational change and be able to evidence their impact. The role requires considerable and skilful collaboration with our key partners in the NHS, Local Authority, Carers, third sector organisations and other forums.
North Highland is a progressive partnership and invests heavily in this post and the Independent Sector.
The post is home based with travel, where necessary, and is hosted by Scottish Care.

Age Scotland is the national charity for older people. We work to improve the lives of everyone over the age of 50 so that they can love later life.
We support and enable hundreds of communities and older people’s groups across Scotland. We provide information, friendship and advice through our free helpline and publications. We tackle loneliness and isolation with our Friendship Line and much more.
We work in Scotland with older people’s groups who provide vital activities and services for older people in their local community. We campaign on the issues that older people tell us are important to them.
We know that growing older doesn’t come with a manual. Later life can bring opportunities and challenges, and people may need to know about rights, organisations and services which are often unfamiliar. That’s why we provide free information and advice to support older people on a diverse range of topics.
You will lead on the day-to-day implementation, management, development and growth of our free confidential helpline for older people in Scotland, their families and carers.
Responsible for overall customer experience, case checking, call quality management and impact evaluation, you will ensure we meet our funding outcomes and the Scottish National Standards for Information Providers audit requirements.
Using a collaborative approach, you will work closely with the information manager and friendship manager to provide a holistic information, advice and friendship service which places older people at the centre of day-to-day delivery and strategic planning.
The role requires an element of practitioner hours and continuous professional development and therefore a minimum of 6 hours per week of telephone advice will be required on an ongoing basis.

The post will be a hybrid blend of office based (in Edinburgh) and home-based work. At least 40% of the working week will be based at our office in Causewayside, Edinburgh.

We require an enthusiastic individual to work with our User Panels and Local Forums. The Panels will be made up of people aged 70 and over who are less able to get out and about without assistance and who use health and social care services. The Forums will be made up of retired people who are more able bodied.
