The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is an independent membership organisation concerned principally with the education, training and assessment of Surgeons, Dental Surgeons and Doctors who are involved in the surgical care of patients. Founded in 1505, the College currently has a membership approaching 30,000 in approximately 100 countries throughout the world.
About the Role
Reporting to either the Surgical or Dental Examinations Manager the post holder will undertake the management, organisation, and delivery of examinations either face to face or online, both in the UK and internationally.
This role will offer the successful candidate a varied and rewarding position that utilises not only your administrative and organisational skills, but also offers event planning and travel opportunities. The role holder will liaise with key internal teams, clinicians and members from across the College and associated bodies. The right candidate will take pride in their work and excel at delivering a professional level of customer service in a fast-paced environment.
This role is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with excellent organisational and administration skills who is keen to work in a team environment within a professional organisation, and who can work confidently and independently to deliver face-to-face and online examinations in the UK and internationally.
Educated to SCQF Level 6/7 (A-level) or equivalent experience, you will have experience of using database systems and be computer literate with good keyboard skills. Possessing excellent organisational, verbal and written skills, you will enjoy the challenges of working under pressure and to tight deadlines, all to the highest standard and with attention to detail.
