Role

Do you have a passion for people and hospitality, leisure and tourism?

Funded through the Short Breaks Fund (Shared Care Scotland), Connecting Carers are very excited to be developing a new service to enable unpaid Carers to have the opportunity to access regular breaks from their caring role.

The Short Breaks Team will support the development of a Short Breaks Bureau, which will comprise virtual, digital, and person-centred resources to generate a wide range of short break information for the benefit of Carers (young and adult) and their families and for providers of short break opportunities.

The range of breaks will endeavour to provide Carers with regular breaks from their caring role and it is envisaged that this will include grant funding, events and training, gifted breaks, statutory provision and peer support.

We are looking for a Short Breaks and Respitality Development Officer who has the imagination, drive, vision and determination to ensure equity and delivery of outcomes for Carers. You must be passionate about what we do, how we do it and our commitment to supporting unpaid Carers throughout Highland. If this, is you, we would love to hear from you!
