  • 14 hours per week over 2 days (to include evening work) but alternative arrangements may be considered 1 year fixed term with a view to continuing subject to funding


We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated candidate who is confident working with a high degree of autonomy in the design, development and implementation of Changes expanding groupwork provision. The postholder will play a key role in shaping the groupwork service, piloting, and evaluating new groups and courses. The postholder will provide therapy, primarily through groupwork to adults in East Lothian, working as a member of a busy, supportive team. Changes works within a community development approach following the Recovery Model CHIME (Connection, Hope, Identity, Meaning, Empowerment) ensuring clients views and preferences are at the heart of the support they receive.

As a charity in East Lothian, Changes is here to help the community achieve and maintain positive mental health and wellbeing by providing a wide range of services and activities including 1-1 therapy, support groups and courses, wellbeing activities, training, and volunteering opportunities.

Services are free and open to everyone over the age of 16 living, or registered with a GP, in East Lothian. Changes provides support for a wide range of challenges including stress, panic, low mood, low self-esteem, anxiety, worry, depression, and negative thinking. Activities are friendly, welcoming, and inclusive and offer opportunities to meet new people, get active and get involved in the local community.
