Role

About Us

At Forth Environment Link (FEL), we make change possible. Delivering projects on the ground that make it easy for people to take practical steps towards living well locally, now and into the future.

Through our work, we support more day-to-day journeys on foot, by bike or wheeling; we encourage more local food to be grown and eaten in our communities; and we help promote the principles of sharing and reuse. We have an open mind with a sleeves rolled up approach and work to help everyone live in a way that is good for them and for the planet.

Changing our world for the better, project by project.

About the Role

The Project Coordinator will help to deliver our Active Travel programme across Forth Valley, focussing on our Employer Engagement programme. The successful candidate will oversee our work with employers and employees to promote active travel for commuting and wellbeing. The role will specifically work with NHS Forth Valley, not only to promote active travel with staff but also develop new patient health projects. The Coordinator will also oversee the logistics and co-ordination of our growing electric bike fleet, based in our Falkirk premises.

The Project Coordinator will manage a team of staff and demonstrate excellent working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. They will be responsible for managing budgets from multiple funders, be competent at collating and writing reports whilst representing FEL regionally and nationally with our partners. They will be creative around how we engage with new audiences and encourage behaviour change in the workplace. The candidate should be proactive and seek out new partnerships whilst also helping with FEL’s wider activity, including co-development of our climate work, and participating in developing new services and ideas.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is passionate about active travel

• Has excellent communication skills

• Is self-motivated and proactive

• Is committed to helping people live well locally

You will become part of a highly motivated, committed and enthusiastic team and will enjoy the

benefits of joining a flexible, adaptable and ambitious workplace that puts people at the heart of

everything we do.
