Role

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Marketing and Business Support Assistant in the Home Energy Scotland Highlands and Islands advice centre. You will support the Marketing Manager and other colleagues in promoting our services which are helping to support people with the current energy crisis. You will also provide facilities, IT and other central services support for Changeworks’ Inverness office and provide general support for Home Energy Scotland advice centre staff activities.

About you

You will be well-organised and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You will have good attention to detail and a willingness to carry out a wide range of tasks quickly and efficiently. You will be committed to offering a first-class customer service experience and have excellent communication skills – both verbal and written with a particular focus on social media. You will have excellent IT skills and be experienced in using customer management databases.

Working at the office but also from home, you will have a positive approach and be self-motivated to deliver results and enjoy working as part of a team that offers strong peer support by multiple channels.

Benefits

Joining the Home Energy Scotland team at Changeworks means you become part of an exciting and innovative organisation that really cares about its employees. You’ll receive full training plus coaching and mentoring.

Changeworks is a great place to work. We hold Investors in People Platinum accreditation (something only a few organisations in Scotland have), and we were nominated for employer of the year by the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce this year. Our staff overwhelmingly would recommend us as an employer too.

The Climate Emergency has resulted in ambitious national targets to reduce carbon emissions from the built environment and reduce rates of fuel poverty. This has driven a significant increase in the number of pilot and large-scale interventions delivered by Changeworks and external organisations in this area. These include area-based domestic energy efficiency retrofit and decarbonisation projects and programmes.

We are a growing organisation, and this role is crucial to the delivery of our ambitious objectives. We want to decarbonise homes in Scotland on a massive scale, and that needs talented individuals like you to help us deliver on our objectives.

We offer a wide range of staff benefits including flexible working, bike to work scheme, an excellent pension scheme and 26 days paid holiday plus 9 public holidays per year.

At Changeworks, we welcome and encourage applications from everyone.
