Role

YWCA Scotland - The Young Women’s Movement is looking to appoint a new Chair and Trustees to join our Board.

The new Chair will lead our skilled and passionate Board of Trustees. We’ve had a significant period of growth over the last year, and we’re entering an exciting and ambitious time for the organisation as we finalise our next three-year strategy.

The new Trustees can be from anywhere in Scotland and will join our current Board of Trustees. In their own words, here’s a message from our current Board (Catherine W, Gabrielle, Catherine H, Molly, Pauline, Lizzie and Lauren):

I joined the board because I wanted a seat at the table where my contributions and opinions would be valued but also be taken on an actionable basis. The YWCA board has enabled me to experience conversations and topics I had not previously ventured into, that experience is invaluable. When I look at the board, I see a better reflection of the kind of sisterhood I want to see more in society and having that seat is a big responsibility but a privilege.

Do you share our belief that every young woman can shape their journey? Do you feel strongly that the voices of all women in Scotland are important? Do you want to help women, girls, non-binary, and gender fluid people feel valued, learn, grow, and fulfil their potential? If you share our passion, then we want to hear from you.
