As part of the MAF UK Youth team you will oversee the development and delivery of our 16- to 26-year-old element of the MAF UK Youth strategy. Working alongside the MAF in the Community Team for Scotland and the MAF UK Youth team, the main aim will be to increase awareness and stimulate new growth within MAF Scotland, with a focus on youth and young adults.

This post is based in our Scottish Office in Glasgow.

Responsibilities

Taking the lead, you will organise and deliver both in-person and online, presentations to a younger Scottish audience, liaising regularly with the MAF UK Youth Team. To assist delivering this, you will also be expected to set up and develop a bank of MAF UK Volunteers, offering training and support to them in their roles both in Scotland and the rest of the UK.

This role will involve regular travel within Scotland and regular travel to MAF UK Head office in Folkstone and other parts of the UK. It will also involve some evening and weekend work and may include overnight stays.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

We are looking for someone who is educated to A-level or equivalent qualification, ideally with Youth work experience. It is highly desirable to have worked within a charity environment, and desirable to also have experience of creating or developing educational resources.

You will be a proactive, organised individual with high levels of emotional intelligence, full of ideas and energy to engage in developing, training, and supporting a UK wide volunteer base to assist with the delivery of awareness raising across church youth groups, schools, universities and at events.

There is an occupational requirement for the job holder of this position to be a committed Christian. Flexibility will be required for working additional hours and travel to meet business needs or for travel or meetings etc. on weekends.
