Role
Fast Forward operates the Scottish Gambling Education Hub, in partnership with GambleAware. The Hub is Scotland’s only gambling education and prevention programme, focusing on protecting young people from gambling harms.
Established in 2018, the project provides free training, support and resources for practitioners who work with young people and families, with tailored approaches to the following 5 sectors:
- informal education sector
- youth employability sector
- formal education/secondary schools sector
- further and higher education sector
- parents and carers sector
We are looking for an enthusiastic practitioner with excellent communication skills and experience in working in the education and further/higher education sector. Experience in youth work and youth employability settings is also desirable. The work will include delivering training to universities, colleges and schools as well as partnership building with national organisations and contributing to the ongoing development of the Hub.

Other tasks will revolve around the following functions:
- To develop the work of the project in line with the agreed project objectives.
- To work closely with local and national partner agencies to promote, implement and facilitate all aspects of the project.
- Liaise closely, and establish good working relations, with other professionals and members of the public, working or involved in health, education, youth and community work.
- To develop and deliver training, educational resources and group work programmes suitable for a variety of settings.
- To ensure that information, advice and support is made available to all relevant agencies and services across Scotland.
- To complete evaluations and produce regular reports on the progress of the work as required by senior management.
- To keep up to date with development work and research relevant to the project in the field of gambling, gaming, cryptocurrencies, risk-taking behaviours, health promotion, group work and training methods.
- To contribute to the wider work programme of Fast Forward as required from time to time by the Chief Executive.

About the Role:
Under the direction of the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer is accountable for the leadership, management, and sustainability of the Students’ Association, alongside providing support to the Elected Officers enabling them to fulfil their duties to the best of their potential.
In this role, you will be required to coach, develop, and provide leadership to the Students’ Association’s staff and to take responsibility for ENSA’s management and administration within the accountability frameworks established by the Board of Directors.

We have been operating as a charity since 2011 and in that time have supported over 3,500 young people into a positive destination. Using WorkingRite’s work-based mentoring method and through the delivery of our in schools model Rite to Work; our Project Coordinators prepare young people for work placements with local businesses and support them in their placements while they learn new skills and gain confidence. This exciting role will manage the delivery of the Rite to Work programme within secondary schools across our delivery areas. Developing the model across education authorities for growth and sustainability; the successful candidate will lead and inspire our team of Project Coordinators to deliver a comprehensive and quality programme which creates lasting impact for young school leavers.
This is a multifaceted role, that requires an ability to understand our on-ground delivery, whilst putting structures and processes in place that support the team in successfully delivering positives outcomes for the young people we support.
With significant investment recently received to grow Rite to Work, the ability to manage and engage and report on its progress internally and to key stakeholders including local authorities, education authorities and other key partners is key. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving the organisational strategy forward and developing the Rite to Work programme as a recognised progression route for secondary school pupils across Scotland.
