We are recruiting for a Coach to join our Your Home team based in Leith Walk Edinburgh.
The role of the Coach is to assist people to move through challenging transitions so they can take control of their life and thrive within their community.
Main duties & responsibilities will include:
• Work on a 1-1 basis with individuals, providing a personalised, strengths-based, coaching approach with people going through the toughest of life’s transitions.
• Work with individuals to overcome and challenge the systemic barriers they may face in achieving their desired outcomes.
• Broker opportunities from local communities that nurture and develop the talents and abilities of each individual.
• Work with individuals to find their own personal motivation and hope for the future as they take control of their life within their community
• Contribute to both internal culture change of the organisation & the external influencing of local and national stakeholders in order to further the mission of the PTS for national systems change.
• Manage volunteers to assist people to build up new and positive friendships and networks through developing community relations that provide new opportunities for people that develop their talents and networks
• Attend and participate in training conferences / seminars and share learning experiences.

What you can expect from us

• Your usual place of work will be Your Home, 26 Leith Walk, Edinburgh, EH6 5AA.
• You are also required to work in the local community, and you will be paid travel expenses between your usual place of work and appointments undertaken in the course of your duties. Alternatively, you may also choose to work remotely from your home address
• Working arrangements must be agreed with your line manager, based on the needs of the service.
• Expenses are not payable for travel between your home to your usual place of work
• You may be required to work from such other place as the organisation may reasonably require from time to time.
• Annual leave entitlement of 210 hours holiday (equivalent to 6 weeks) pro rata per year in the first year rising to 280 hours (equivalent to 8 weeks) pro rata per year in the second. This includes public holidays
• You will be automatically enrolled into the People’s Pension following successful completion of your probationary period, provided you meet the auto-enrolment criteria

We are recruiting for a Locality Manager to lead our service provision across the city of Edinburgh and the East.
In Edinburgh this is directly managing Our Visiting Home Service in the Northwest and Southwest of the city as well as overseeing the management of three supported accommodation programmes in the Broomhouse and Pilton areas. The Locality Manager will directly line manager a Service Manager in the city.

Main duties and responsibilities include:
- Directly manage delivery of the Edinburgh and East service and be service located in the city(potentially from Leith in the first instance)
- Lead service delivery in line with Right There’s aims, values and strategic objectives
- Lead your portfolio with emphasis on best practice, qualitative based outcomes and robust operational controls
- Ensure robust person-centred planning is at the heart of delivery with maintained and accurate support plans recording SMART outcomes.

We need you to be qualified to SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare (previously Health and Social Care), SCQF Level 7 or HNC in Social Services. We’re looking for someone that has experience of managing a service, with the ability to lead and take ownership and accountability for the programmes. The Service
The Link Academy team works primarily with people with complex backgrounds. The service works hard and creatively to maintain the early engagement of participants. We support people by offering mental health and wellbeing programmes, independent living skills and a wide range of qualifications to support their progression including employability, tenancy, youth work and leadership award qualifications.
The Job
The purpose of the job is to support people to achieve their goals and aspirations through group work by providing opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills. You will be responsible for recruiting, training and supporting the programme participants. You will support the achievement of high standards and provide monitoring information in relation to the project’s outcomes.
You will ensure that opportunities are provided to people equipping them with the skills to make a valuable contribution to the service and their wider community. You will support people into a positive destination whether that be re-engagement with education, training or employment. The Project Worker will provide support and offer guidance to programme participants, develop relationships with other agencies and services and actively promote LinkLiving’s programmes and services.
About You
in order to be considered for this role it is essential that you can demonstrate a good standard of education, e.g. standard grade passes (or equivalent) in core subjects such as English and Maths and also hold an SQA Assessor qualification or be willing to work towards it.
Experience of co-ordinating, developing and delivering training programmes is essential for this role.
As you will be working with people with complex needs/backgrounds you must have previous experience in this field.
Additionally, you must have the ability to drive and be able to travel between services, as required.

The Service
Our Edinburgh Young Persons’ Service provides visiting housing support and supported accommodation to people between 16 and 25 years old who live in Edinburgh.
We support young people, who have been in care, experienced homelessness, trauma or any disadvantage to overcome the challenges they may face whilst helping them to achieve their own individual goals and shape their lives for a more positive future.
This can involve finding a suitable home, learning the skills to manage it as well as possible, working through life challenges, trying new things, and learning to see the best in themselves and fulfil their unique potential. We also have supported flats which vary in the level of support offered to suit the needs of the people who live there.
The Job
We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and motivated Support Worker to join our team and improve the lives of people supported by our Edinburgh Young Persons’ Service.
In this role, you will be supported to work using a person centred and trauma informed approach and develop effective relationships with young people affected by a range of problems, supporting them to cope in difficult times and working towards a good life. You will provide emotional, practical and social support to enable people to live as independently as possible and make informed choices in all aspects of their lives.
