Role

The role

Our Local Partnership and Engagement Officer (Maternity Cover) will support the planning and delivery of our Young Scot local offer. You will work closely with various partners who are engaging young people at the heart of their work. This will ensure that young people across Scotland can access Young Scot services locally and nationally.

What you’ll be doing from day-to-day

  • Represent Young Scot at external events and deliver key messaging on Young Scot’s products and services.
  • Collaborate, maintain, and develop relationships with key stakeholders, local authorities, local partners, and schools through effective relationship management and attending regular meetings.
  • Work with Be Empowered staff to develop and deliver youth friendly informative, resources, presentations, participation and engagement and training sessions on Young Scot products and services.
  • To utilise all Young Scot services and digital platform, to enhance Young Scot’s local digital information and co-ordinate the effective use of Rewards and Discounts.
  • Support with the delivery and of projects including use of the participatory budgeting platform.
  • Other relevant duties to support the Senior Leadership Team.

A great candidate will have a mix of these skills and experiences:

  • Good knowledge and understanding of working with young people.
  • Experience of project development and delivery, including developing, delivering, and facilitating session plans, workshops, and events.
  • Good understand and knowledge of developing and managing successful internal and external partnerships.
  • Experience of designing and creating interactive engagement tools and resources.
  • Good experience of producing high-quality written proposals, reports, and other written materials.
  • Able to work effectively in a team and leading on own initiative.
  • Good participation and engagement skills
