Evidence & Impact Manager

This is a 28 hour per week post. There are no set hours of work and they can be worked flexibly in agreement with the Chief Executive Officer. The Apt Disability Employment Gap PSP is a unique and forward thinking initiative in the Scottish employability landscape. In the Fairer Scotland: Employment Action Plan the Scottish Government committed to halving the disability employment gap in Scotland by 2038. A key element of the strategy is to build the capacity of employers to recruit, support and retain disabled people. The PSP is developing and delivering a range of innovative projects which support employers to address the gaps in their knowledge and expertise, improving the employment prospects of disabled people and working towards a culture change in our workplaces. SUSE is the lead partner of the PSP and is the host employer of the PSP Evidence & Impact Manager.

This is a flexible, varied and interesting role that offers the post holder the opportunity to work in a fast changing setting and contribute to the development of an innovative project. The post holder will be expected to multitask and achieve competing demands to set deadlines. The Evidence & Impact Manager will work with the PSP, with individual providers, workstreams and key stakeholders to implement evidence gathering, intelligence management and analysis, which will allow us to assess outcomes and benefits, make effective and timely decisions, to self-evaluate and report on:

  • The effectiveness of the PSP overall
  • The effectiveness of our training and consultancy activities and their contribution to achieving outcomes stated in the Apt PSP Logic Model
  • The impact of our work on the employers we are supporting in terms of Benefits Management and benefits realised
  • The impact of partnership working

We offer a pension contribution of 8%, life insurance and a generous annual leave entitlement of 28 days (including public holidays) for this 0.8 FTE post. The salary for this role is £35,200 for 28 hours per week. The FTE salary is £44,000. We will also consider recruiting this position on a consultancy basis with an agreed day rate.
