Role

Our Learning and Development Team is on an exciting new journey as it evolves into the Learning and Organisational Development (L&OD) Team. We are recruiting for an L&OD Manager who will help support and lead this change, playing a central role in shaping the new L&OD agenda here at CHAS.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of L&OD, you will have the opportunity to manage colleagues in the department which currently consists of a Learning and Development Coordinator and Learning and Development Administrator. You will also be responsible for the design and delivery of learning across CHAS as well as L&OD project management.

About You

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in learning and development design and delivery, have experience in manager and leadership development and have a good understanding of the fundamentals of organisational development. You will be able to work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, including managers and senior leaders, and have a strong business partnering approach in your interactions with key stakeholders.

We are looking for a creative individual with fantastic people skills who will be able to ensure that our employees get the learning experiences they need, help the organisation meet its strategic objectives and support their new team to evolve into a high performing L&OD function. If this sounds like you, then we would love to hear from you.

About CHAS

At CHAS, staff and volunteers work together as one team, focused on the common goal of reaching every family in Scotland who needs our support. We have a 3:1 ratio of volunteers to staff members in CHAS. All CHAS staff will at some point work with or alongside volunteers and will be expected to support volunteers.

Our ambition is to reach every family in Scotland who is living with the heart-breaking prognosis that their child is dying, and offer them our care and support to empower them to make the most of the short time they have together. As a Learning and Organisational Development Manager, you will be instrumental in achieving this vision.
