We are looking for an experienced, organised and dynamic person to join our Independent Living Team as the Senior Rehabilitation Officer covering three regional teams across Scotland.

The Independent Living Team supports those who have served in the Armed Forces and now have sight loss which has an impact on their daily life and independence. You will report to the Rehabilitation Practice Lead and will carry a small caseload. In addition you will provide expertise, supervision and advice to the rehabilitation officers/trainees.

You must be an experienced rehabilitation officer who is willing to take on new management challenges and has the expertise to mentor and supervise junior rehabilitation officers/trainees.

You must be a strong team player and be able to work on own initiative. This post may require some travel throughout Scotland, but will mainly be home based or from either Head Office in Edinburgh or the Hawkhead Centre in Paisley. However, remote working will be considered for those located out with these areas.

We are looking to recruit a Financial Wellbeing Lead to join the Sight Scotland Veterans team. You will work with the Information and Support Manager, to lead on the charity’s new Financial Wellbeing service which will involve;

• Line management of the Financial Wellbeing team.
• Provision of accessible, tailored and relevant information around financial support available to veterans and their carers.
• Day to day oversight of Sight Scotland Veterans grants provision.
• Raising awareness of financial support available to veterans and their carers and upskilling of the Sight Scotland Veterans teams to ensure consistent practice

As a driven individual who is a skilled communicator, you will have prior experience of working within a financial support, benefits advice or grants provision role. You will be part of a high performing team which will lead the charity to continued success in meeting the aspirations of those who we support. Your role will involve supporting the creation of the financial wellbeing service and leading the team to ensure the delivery of high-quality outcomes that make a difference to people’s lives.

We are looking to recruit a Sight Loss Information Lead to join the Sight Scotland Veterans team. You will work with the Information and Support Manager, to lead on the charity’s new Sight Loss Information Line service which will involve;

• Line management of the Information Line team.
• Provision of accessible, tailored and relevant information around sight loss and its impact.
• Day to day oversight of the referral process into Sight Scotland Veterans.
• Raising awareness of Sight Scotland Veterans alongside the marketing team

As a motivated individual who is a natural leader and skilled communicator, you will have prior experience of working within a helpline/support line/call centre or similar environment. You will be part of a high performing team which will lead the charity to continued success in meeting the aspirations of those who we support. Your role will involve supporting the creation of the new information line service and leading the teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality outcomes that make a difference to people’s lives.

If you have experience in a relevant field, have clear understanding of sight loss and the challenges people face and feel you have the skills to grow and develop a new team, then we would love to hear from you.

We are looking to recruit an innovative individual from a health and/or social care background who can promote and support excellence within our Independent Living Team at Sight Scotland Veterans.

You will work with the Independent Living Workers to lead a programme of improvement, education and development which will help to strengthen and improve our service delivery to veterans with sight loss.

As a motivated, enthusiastic educator and skilled communicator, you will have prior experience of supporting Teams and individual practitioners to provide high standards of evidence based practice. You will be part of a high performing team which will lead the charity to continued success in meeting the aspirations of those who we support. Your role will involve supporting and educating the teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality outcomes.

If you have experience in health and/or social care, have an understanding of sight loss, practice education and feel you have the skills to grow and develop new teams, then we would love to hear from you.
