Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Streetbikes Cycle Leader who is passionate about cycling, developing and delivering quality, engaging & fun bike related activities for children & young people across West Dunbartonshire.
Your main role will be to work within the Youth Connections Team to develop and deliver an exciting and engaging bike rides and cycling programme including establishing weekly bikes ride sessions, which help achieve Y Sort It’s core values of support, connect and inspire.
As the StreetBikes Cycle Leader your role will be to promote, organise and deliver weekly bike rides and cycling related activities targeting young people aged 10-21 years who are interested in bike rides and cycling adventures. As Cycle Leader you will coordinate and encourage young people wishing to participate in cycle led rides, exploring the local community and beyond.
You will ensure our Streetbikes hub runs efficiently, including helping to maintain our fleet of bikes and cycling equipment, liaising with local partners. In addition you will be expected to contribute to the work of the wide organisation.
The post holder should be flexible as the actual times of work will involve working evenings, weekends & School Holidays. The post holder should be flexible as the actual times of work may change to respond to the demands of the work of the Youth Connections programme.
Cycle Leader Main Duties
- To support the development and deliver a cycling programme including the establishment of weekly group ride sessions for young people & children.
- Design and deliver a Streetbikes activity programme of cycle training aimed at young people and children.
- To support children and young people’s involvement in the planning and delivery of Streetbikes
- To plan, deliver and evaluate Streetbikes activities whilst improving their health and wellbeing, understanding of environmental issues, whilst exploring their local communities.
- To maintain your knowledge of local services and partners, to ensure you can provide accurate information to young people.
- To maintain up to date and accurate records of Streetbike sessions and any other cycling activities delivered.
- To support the youth connections team in cleaning, maintaining and servicing any equipment used by the team, for example, fleet bicycles. Appropriate training to be provided to support this.
- To carry out risk assessments of Streetbike activities prior to them taking place.
- To understand and abide by the organisations policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, First Aid, Data Protection, Confidentiality and Child Protection and Vulnerable Adults.
- Ensure non-discriminatory practices at all times in line with the organisations Equality and Diversity policy.
- To work in partnership with key local organisations.
- To liaise with parents, carers, professionals and partner agencies.
- To support the development of learning for contracted and casual staff, as well as volunteers
- To produce monitoring and evaluation reports as requested by your line manager.
General Duties
- To attend and contribute fully to all team meetings.
- To actively participate in support and supervision and annual appraisal with your line manager.
- Undertake appropriate training as part of continuing professional development.
- To organise and manage your workload in an effective and efficient manner.
- To submit timesheets in a timely manner and comply with other administrative arrangements as required.
- To act in accordance with the organisations code of conduct and policies at all times.
- To carry out other such duties as agreed with the organisation.

COVEY provides 1-1 and group-based befriending, mentoring and intensive family support.
This role will support the CEO, Deputy CEO & Operations Leader and wider Leadership Team (LT) by leading on administrative, clerical and finance support including HR & Payroll administration, Salesforce CRM updates/reports, office enquiries, board/LT administration and operations assistance where required.
We are looking for someone who has experience in office management and administration, with strong interpersonal skills to manage internal and external relationships effectively and appropriately. You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) and have an understanding of HR requirements, including relevant policies and procedures, and Health and Safety. Experience using CRM systems and accounting packages such as Xero would also be desirable.

EXPERIENCE /QUALIFICATIONS:
Granton Youth is looking for a youth workers with experience of working/volunteering with young people; delivering a mixture of centre-based and detached youth work, no qulaifications are required but the opportunity for in-house learning and CPD will be provided.
These posts will involve working in within the GY team to deliver 3-4 sessions of detached youth work weekly in North Edinburgh and centre-based youth work. Both roles will involve building strong relationships with young people and supporting their on-going development.
Experience of working in marginalised communities will be an advantage.
Funding for 3 year contract.
All staff will be required to complete PVG, costs covered by GY.

About the Project
The 'Young Start Progressions' programme at 'The Pavilion' will be a dynamic 2-year programme, led by young people, supported by staff and volunteers and by existing and new partnership opportunities. Our three-pronged approach aims to empower young individuals across various stages of their development:
Primary/Secondary Transitions Programme: We will provide support for P7, S1, and S2 young people as they transition from primary to secondary school, fostering empowerment, confidence, and improved self-esteem in a non-school environment.
Volunteer Mentoring Programme: Expanding on our successful volunteering mentoring initiative, we offer diverse opportunities for young volunteers, connecting them with roles both within Pavilion and through our network of school partnerships and community collaborations.
Attainment Programme: Focused on enhancing pathways for Junior and Senior Club participants, we integrate life skills development seamlessly into existing activities. From goal-setting exercises, certificated activity programmes to accredited learning and further training opportunities.
Purpose of Job
We are seeking a Programme Coordinator to lead the delivery of this project as well as managing the Attainment Worker & Volunteer Development Worker posts attached to this project.
Being creative, innovative and ideas driven, to support delivery of multiple programmes of activity and be able to forge strong positive relationships with partners are key attributes for this post. The postholder will be responsible for taking a coordinated approach to implementing activities with young people that address the key identified issues affecting them, ensuring their needs are addressed and pathways created that help them to succeed.
The postholder should have experience working with a range of age groups and are able to demonstrate experience in taking a youth-led approach to service delivery.

Purpose of the Job:
The Volunteer Development Worker plays a pivotal role in delivering a programme of volunteering opportunities for young people involved in our clubs and programmes.
Their primary focus is to help participants attain recognized qualifications through volunteering and celebrate their achievements while creating pathways for their progression.
The Volunteer Development Worker will be a dynamic and confident people person, able to sensitively train and support volunteers throughout their journey with The Pavillion, as well as being able to recruit new volunteers and new volunteering opportunities.
The aim is:
- To develop and inspire young people
- To promote volunteering, attainment and progression opportunities for young people
- To recognise and celebrate young people’s achievements and contributions as volunteers
- Create pathways for young people to progress and experience new opportunities that help foster and develop their life skills

Job Role:
We are seeking to appoint a Volunteer development worker for our Progressions programme. The Volunteer development worker will be able to train and support volunteers throughout their journey at The Pavillion, as well as being able to find, recruit and induct new volunteers as the charity continues to expand. The volunteer development worker will also seek volunteering opportunities outwith The Pavillion for volunteers wishing to expand their skill set.
The volunteer development worker will recruit and train volunteers and provide ongoing support, supervision and training. They will raise awareness and promote volunteering opportunities within The Pavillion and partner agencies.
