Ochil Tower School is an independent residential school for children and young people with complex additional support needs set in beautiful grounds in Auchterarder. Ochil Tower is in a period of significant development moving from traditional term time residential support for the children and young people to the delivery over 52 weeks. In addition to supporting the children and young people all year round the organisation will grow significantly in staffing terms.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Residential Care Manager. This key role will drive the development and implementation of leadership and management of the care team. You will be responsible for culture, vision and strategic leadership within the residential care team supporting the Head of Care to develop and implement the vision for Ochil Tower.
Reporting to the Head of Care you will have excellent verbal and written skills and will be line manager to the House Coordinators (managers) and support them to deliver organisational objectives and values. You will promote a child centred approach to meeting children and young people’s needs ensuring the delivery of quality, person-centred care.
You will lead care self-evaluation, embed the use of Health and Social Care Standards, codes of practice and legislation to support ongoing improvement.
As part of Ochil Tower Operational Management team, you will receive a full planned induction programme.
This post requires you to register with the Scottish Social Services Council as a Residential Child Care Worker with Supervisory Responsibilities.
