We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Development Trainer to join our field team in Stirling.
Who we are:
Venture Trust works with people experiencing complicated life circumstances. Through the provision of wilderness-based personal and social development programmes, we equip them with the confidence, motivation and core life skills that they need to make positive changes in their lives.
The role:
As a Development Trainer, you will:
- lead and support participants on their wilderness journey across remote parts of Scotland
- run engaging community based outdoor activity days
- deliver one-to-one and group work sessions focusing on areas such as goal setting, consequential thinking and identifying effective behaviours
- support our clients to develop transferrable skills and positive action plans for their return to their community
- be responsible for ensuring programmes are equipped effectively and operated safely in line with our Operational Guidelines, risk assessments and health and safety legislation, as well as for the production of plans and reports
- ensure the maintenance, upkeep and storage of all equipment
- hold a minimum of two of the following qualifications; Summer Mountain Leader certificate, Rock Climbing Instructor, Moderate Water Leader or equivalent (canoe), as well as a recognised First Aid Certificate.

We are Rock Trust and our vision is an end to youth homelessness in Scotland Who we are For 30 years we have been working to prevent youth homelessness and to support young people to build better futures. We aim to ensure that every young person in Scotland has access to expert youth specific services to assist them to avoid, survive and move on from homelessness. We work to ensure that the public, policy makers, commissioners and practitioners understand the issues, make decisions and take action which will help us to end youth homelessness.
The Health and Wellbeing Worker will be working along side two art therapists and a peer mentor project worker in the team. The team’s focus is supporting young people’s mental health who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness. They will receive individual and group clinical supervision. The Health and Wellbeing Worker will be based within the Youth Development Team but will work with other teams in the organisation. The Health and Wellbeing Worker will use a person-centered approach with young people to build trust and enable them to improve outcomes with a focus on:
- Mental and emotional health, self-esteem, and confidence
- Relationships, boundaries, and safety
The Health and Wellbeing Worker will work with young people within drop ins, one-to-one support, and group work. Where appropriate they will support young people to gain additional support from statutory services.
Tek Care National Digital Project Lead

On Bikes Apprentice Bike Mechanic

St Paul’s Youth Forum are seeking a passionate and committed individual to help us kick-start a cycling revolution at the Seven Lochs Hogganfield Loch. St Paul’s have gained funding to start and run a bike repair shop/hire venue.
As the On Bikes Apprentice Bike Mechanic you will be leaning or refining skills to repair and maintain bikes. You will have the chance to go through training that will give you an industry standard qualification. You will then be supported by a community engagement officer and experienced and trained bike mechanic to use these skills in a bike hub at the Hogganfield Loch. You will help a community development officer to lend out bikes for a small fee, talking to the public to gain interest in the project.
As this is a new project, we need someone who isn’t afraid to get stuck in, learn and have fun!
This position is funded through the Rank foundation for 6 months from the start of employment.

- Building trusting relationships with young people
- Developing high quality support plans alongside young people
- Providing emotional, social and practical support to assist young people to develop independent
- living skills
- Maintaining Rock Trust properties to a high standard
- Working in a psychologically and trauma informed manner
