Waverley Care is at an important moment in our history as we work to get to zero HIV transmissions by 2030 – there is much work to be done, but as an organisation we are driven to create lasting change for everyone in Scotland living with, or at risk of HIV.
To help deliver on the priorities in our new strategic plan, we have been developing a new communications strategy for the organisation, which includes a rebrand and a new website which acts as the portal to new digital services. This newly created Communications Officer position will join us at an exciting point in these projects and will play a pivotal role in their success.
The vision for the development of our digital services via the website includes the creation of quality, trustworthy advice and support information through a variety of media, alongside the ability to self-refer for more intense support and access to video appointments. This post will be responsible for the creation of new content which will support this aim.
Through the rebrand we are bringing together our brands under one new name, and you will lead on developing our new unifying tone of voice and applying it across everything that we do, from external facing digital and print to internal communications.
For the successful candidate this position offers excellent professional development as they will be involved in two key strategic change projects.
We are looking for a highly engaged and motivated professional who can bring the following attributes to the role:
· An experienced and driven communicator, with excellent copywriting skills and an eye for detail.
· A proactive individual with a passion for communications and the ability to bring out that enthusiasm in others.
· A team player who can develop strong working relationships across a range of operational teams and stakeholders who work with us to deliver services.
· A commitment to continued professional development.
· An interest in our work and the life changing impact it has.
If that sounds like you then we would love to hear from you. In return, we offer a supportive and valuing work environment with encouragement to develop personally and professionally.
