Role

Everything we do, and the way in which we do it, puts the MND Community at our core. The Advocacy Worker’s role is person centred, issue based, and supports people living with MND, their carers, and families to have their voices heard and rights upheld.

We’re now looking for two compassionate and empathetic Advocacy Workers to join our Support Development Directorate. Reporting to the Practical Support Lead, you will ensure that people with MND and their families understand their rights and are involved as far as possible in all decisions which affect them.

You will engage with internal and external stakeholders and allow people with MND, their carers, and family members to better manage the impact of the condition on their everyday lives, overcome barriers, and ensure that services are delivered when they need them. This will enable them to spend their precious time building special memories with their families, rather than battling for the support they need.

If you are someone who works well under pressure, who can manage an often varied and time-sensitive workload and who believes in our vision of a world without Motor Neuron Disease, then we would love to hear from you. Together we will make time count.
