Keep Scotland Beautiful is your charity for Scotland’s environment.
Our vision is for a clean, green, sustainable Scotland. We work with you to help combat climate change, reduce litter and waste, and protect and enhance the places we care for. We aim to change behaviour to improve our environment, the quality of people’s lives, their wellbeing, and the places that they care for.

What the role is
We have an ambition to build a carbon literate Scotland, help in the just transition to a Net Zero Nation, and create a Scotland that is litter free and has a circular economy. Within this post you will provide professional training and environmental award services to clients across sectors. In particular training through our pioneering programme of Climate Emergency Training and our new litter literacy programme. You will also provide accreditation and audit services across sectors, particularly our National Award for Environmental Excellence ® and Green Key which help and support organisations to minimise their impact on the environment so that they play their part in tackling the climate emergency.
What you’ll need to have
We are looking for someone with passion, knowledge, and experience to help people and organisations across Scotland understand more about climate change and wider environmental challenges and help them take positive action to reduce their impact on the environment and respond to the business opportunities this provides. You will have experience and a flair for organising, preparing and delivering training to a range of sectors and audiences on environment and climate change subjects. In addition, we are looking for a good knowledge of Scottish environment, climate change, circular economy, litter and waste policies and programmes and strong training and learning facilitation skills along with experience of presenting complex information clearly to a range of audiences.
Ideally, you will be carbon literate, have experience of environmental auditing and carbon footprinting as well as an understanding of ISO14001 and ISO14064. Other desirable aspects include experiences such as CRM systems, client management, business development and, team scheduling and capacity planning,
