Key Responsibilities
Our Practice & Policy Team
The Practice and Policy Team comprises of eight staff who are responsible for supporting panel members across Scotland to make some of the most difficult decisions in public life in Scotland. We proactively gather feedback to improve practice and policy at every opportunity. The Team provides high quality expertise and collaborates with a wide range of national stakeholders. At the core of our work is a shared vision that everything we do enhances the rights of children. We aim to be strategic, credible, influential and drive change.
Life at CHS
Our 2,500 volunteer Panel Members take part in children’s hearings in their local areas, making decisions with and for children. Our organisation also supports a network of 22 Area Support Teams made up of 400 volunteers who support Panel Members in their local communities.
