We’re looking for an experienced management accountant who can support, monitor, and drive our financial processes and procedures. You will be able to play a key role in developing the financial strategy of CHS. You will also be able to take part in different projects across the organisation.
Besides the core role, CHS has signed-up to deliver The Promise and in that we will work with young people and our partners to redesign Children’s Hearings over the next 5-years. This is possibly the most exciting time to work at CHS as you will play a key role in supporting us to deliver this change.

Key Responsibilities
Our Finance team
Our finance team comprises of Finance Support Assistant, Finance Manager (a shared service member) and yourself as the Management accountant. The role of the team is to manage and provide excellent advice, guidance, and oversight on all aspects of our Finance and Budget management. As the team is very small, you will be able to impact the direction of our, for example, financial policies, systems and procedures.
Life at CHS
Our 2,500 volunteer Panel Members take part in children’s hearings in their local areas, making decisions with and for infants, children and young people. Our organisation also supports a network of 22 Area Support Teams made up of 400 volunteers who support Panel Members in their local communities.
