Saheliya Play and Learn Centre (SPLC) is a 20 place 2-5yrs, Local Authority partnership nursery. SPLC is a not for profit, charitable, social enterprise. Where we provide high quality, accessible play and learning experiences for all children in relation to their needs, abilities, and developmental stage. We provide a nurturing and caring environment for the children to learn to the best of their ability. Staff and children are from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds.

We are currently looking for a Childcare Development Manager who will be responsible for recruiting, leading, mentoring and inspiring a professional team to deliver high quality early learning and childcare experiences within the nursery.

Ensuring that all children receive the highest standards of care and opportunities for learning in line with the nursery’s vision values and aims. As well as understand supporting families from diverse cultures and promoting positive learning for children from these community and backgrounds.

The Jane Moore Trust is a Scottish-registered charity, established in 1991, giving children and young people in Scotland the support they need, when they need it. A range of responsive services provide education, employability, social housing, and access to psychological support.

Moore House Academy-Butterstone is located in a beautiful, tranquil, rural environment near Dunkeld in Perthshire. The school provides small group specialist education, including therapeutic support, for children and young people aged 11 to 18 years, whose high levels of anxiety and social communication impede their emotional development and prevent success in learning. Many of the young people have a diagnosis of autism. We envisage opening a primary school on this campus, running alongside the Academy, which will allow us to provide this specialist education to children and young people aged 11 to 19.

We are seeking a skilled and creative part-time Fundraising Officer with at least 2 years’ experience in initiating, growing and developing new streams of income, including grants / trusts, local and national government funds and tenders.

The successful candidate will be part of the The Jane Moore Trust team and have a key role across the organisation to develop and deliver fundraising strategies. This exciting role will support the ongoing expansion of Moore House Academy Butterstone and will ensure that we are able to continue to focus on supporting our children and young people on to positive destinations, accessing the best opportunities for learning, life and work.

About the role

As The Partnership Manager, you will report directly to the Head of Strategic Partnerships & Business Development function for Scotland. You will manage a team of embedded Senior Project Officers working within the partner local authorities and delivering in partnership with a broad range of local stakeholders to develop and deliver local Active Travel Strategies, Visions and Plans.

You will work closely with colleagues to secure funding for our work, capturing and communicating the impacts of better places for people. You will ensure our for everyone values – to strengthen diversity and inclusion across the charity, whilst ensuring that a more systematic approach to the embedding of our ‘for everyone’ principles permeates through our work.

You will advocate for sustainable transport across the region and you will use that platform to influence local decision makers, through engaging in policy and planning work, leading on communications, and contributing to a coordinated approach to business development opportunities in Scotland.

You will build and manage internal and external relationships with key people such as Elected MPs, MSP’s members and others within local government, professional bodies and authorities.

This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans.

About you

You should be an experienced leader, expert at developing and maintaining relationships at senior levels in a variety of sectors e.g. Local Authority, business and industry bodies. You should have line management experience.

You must have the ability to communicate authoritatively and persuasively to a range of audiences; with demonstrable experience of remote and face-to-face partnership development techniques.
