We are seeking someone to join our diverse Community Mental Health and Wellbeing team in the Guided Self Help service. It is an exciting time for our team as we have commenced working with Thrive Edinburgh. Health in Mind is delivering Guided Self help as part of the Connect Partnership which comprises of, Penumbra and Support in Mind Scotland.

Guided Self Help is a one-to-one support service that guides people to access self-help materials over 4 sessions. Sessions are currently being delivered both in person at our office and online (zoom) or telephone. The service is based on the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Interpersonal Counselling (IPC) and is for anyone aged 18 and over experiencing mild to moderate anxiety and/or depression, stress or sleep problems.

A guided self-help worker provides support to empower people to make positive changes in their life now and going forward.

This is a popular service and our waiting list is growing. This post has been created for a 6 month period to help the team support people waiting to access Guided Self Help.
