- The administrative base is in Dalkeith. Travel throughout East Lothian including operating from other venues, will be required.

Responsible to: Service Manager (East Lothian)
MYPAS promotes the health and wellbeing of young people across East Lothian and Midlothian and currently focuses on working in the areas of mental health and substance use. MYPAS is a community-based organisation with charitable status and based in Dalkeith, Midlothian.
The postholder will be responsible for providing counselling to young people aged 12-18 living in East Lothian within a holistic service. These young people will have multiple disadvantages and will have been affected disproportionately during the pandemic including LGBT+ young people and care-experienced young people. The postholder will also develop and promote further therapeutic work both within and outwith MYPAS.
Qualified to Diploma level (or equivalent) in a Counselling therapeutic discipline, a member of a recognised professional body (e.g. BACP, COSCA) and have experience of working with young people, you will also be committed to delivering a service according to best practice and within community settings.
The postholder will work within a multi-disciplinary service and work effectively with other agencies in partnership settings. Contributing to the wider MYPAS service, the postholder will ensure that young people are worked with using a holistic approach through effectively linking the work of the Therapies team with other areas of MYPAS’ work as well as that of partner organisations.
This post may require regular evening and occasional weekend work.

Rock Trust are delighted to be recruiting a new Team Leader for our Housing Services in Edinburgh and East Lothian. The Team Leader (Technical Apprenticeship) provides the opportunity to lead a team of experienced frontline staff and to gain the skills and work experience to achieve the SVQ4 in Health and Social Care.
These services will support young people who are homeless to transition to permanent, independent accommodation. The Team Leader will be expected to:
- Play a leading role in the continuing development of our services
- Lead and manage a team of high performing service delivery staff
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with key partners
- Promote and share evaluation, learning and best practice
- Provide high quality housing support to a reduced caseload
To lead the provision of relationship-based support delivered to young people and families in the community and to promote positive outcomes in line with the values and principles of Includem.
Purpose & Context of Role
The postholder will manage their own caseload ensuring support plans are developed with the young person to respond to their individual needs and supporting them to improve outcomes in line with GIRFEC principles and Includem’s model of support.
A project worker will demonstrate leadership and ownership over effective service delivery to young people by managing outcomes for young people through use of line managers, colleagues and organisational tools, processes, policies and procedures.

We have identified the need for a development worker role which will suit an experienced youth worker/educator who is passionate about empowering and upskilling young people on the Scottish Islands on sustainability, climate change and carbon neutral initiatives. This role will be part of our Young Islanders Network/Youth Work and Training Team
At includem we work closely with children, young people, families, and services across the community to support young people to make positive life choices and progress towards the type of future they want to live. A key role, the team manager will have responsibility for all aspects of the service in line with contract expectations. This requires ownership and the ability to influence and communicate across a variety of forums. The team manager will be able to make links for staff between strategic objectives and the day-to-day delivery of the service. It is important that the quality of service provided is high and that resources are managed effectively and in line with budgets.
