The Role:
Sitting within the Individual Giving team, the Fundraising Officer will maintain and develop income from a range of sources including in memory, community fundraising and legacies, whilst having a strong focus on increasing income from digital campaigns.
Main Objectives Include:
Digital fundraising
- Lead on delivery of digital membership recruitment activities: planning, adapting and implementing a programme of targeted campaigns throughout the year and establishing mechanisms to track responses and return-on-investment
- Oversee digital fundraising activities, including PPC, Google Ads, SEO and retargeting.
Supporter engagement
- Contribute to the development of effective supporter engagement and giving journeys and deliver them across communication channels and in alignment with wider Trust communications. Consider approaches which might address any identified barriers to engagement.
Corporate Partners
- Support and develop our Investors in Wildlife (corporate membership) Programme – acting as first point of contact for enquiries, follow-up discussions (liaising where appropriate with the wider staff e.g. to facilitate corporate volunteering), and ongoing stewardship including annual renewals.
Legacy Marketing and Legacy Pledger Stewardship
- Undertake legacy marketing across a range of communication channels including direct mail, print advertising and digital. o Lead on provision of stewardship to known legacy pledgers including organisation of an annual reception.

Secretary and Head of Campaigns

The charities Animal Concern Limited and Animal Concern Advice Line can trace their history back to 1876. Our Secretary and Campaigner for the last 42 years has to take early retirement due to ill health and we need someone new to run both the administration and campaign sides of our work.
We need someone with experience in charity administration. Animal Concern is also a not for profit Limited Company.
Of most importance is a genuine concern for animal welfare and rights. Animal Concern campaigns under the banner “Legislate to Liberate”. We and our supporters lobby politicians, commercial concerns and policy makers to try and improve the lot of animals in all areas where they are exploited. Over the last 42 years we have made a point of highlighting issues which most other organisations did not campaign on. As a small organisation we avoid duplicating the work of other groups and target our resources at issues others have yet to embrace.
Among many other positive campaigns we were responsible for banning the giving of goldfish and other animals as prizes in Scotland. We rescued death sentenced bears from a closing safari park, closed down the Scottish end of a horrific international research project using primates, obtained the only prosecution of a seal shooting salmon farmer and were heavily involved in restricting the use of airguns in Scotland.
We have a long list of objectives we have yet to accomplish and we need the right person to help us achieve those aims.
Face 2 Face Fundraiser

Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home has been supporting pets and their owners throughout east and central Scotland since 1883. We need to raise £2million every year and to do so, need to attract new supporters to continue to develop and allow us to support every pet and person in need.
Over the last five years we have been developing our regular giving fundraising programme and are excited to be recruiting an in house face-to-face fundraising team to further develop this income.
We are currently recruiting for 2 x Face-To-Face Fundraising team members to join our Fundraising and Communications department and help to build this vital source of income.

The Head of Finance and Business Development will lead on all aspects relating to financial systems, processes, reporting on financial performance, business support and business development functions. This includes all aspects of charity finance compliance, business income generation and strategic facilities management.
We are looking for a positive influential leader who will be responsible for managing the Finance Business Partner and Business Facilities Manager, supporting the organisation in its income growth development plans while providing sound strategic financial support to the wider Senior Leadership Teams portfolio of work.
The successful individual will be able to represent the Home in all that they do as an enthusiastic and future thinking person with a strong can-do approach. Someone who can demonstrate innovative thinking and working collaboratively will suit the wider culture of the Home.
