Role
Scottish Sports Futures use the power of sport and physical activity to engage with vulnerable and disadvantaged young people in Scotland and empower them to be confident, healthy and happy.
We do this using our proven and recognised Sport for Change model and its range of person-centred, youth-led programmes that provide positive experiences, inspiring role models, engaging social education, training, and youth volunteering opportunities. The Role
We are currently recruiting for Workers to join our bank of sessional staff, to undertake work on a flexible basis. SSF Workers may be offered a variety of assignments, depending on their skills, experience, and availability. Roles include Physical Activity Coaches, Youth Workers, Nutrition and Exercise Workers, and Health and Wellbeing Workers. You will have the opportunity to discuss and agree assignments with your supervisor.
All SSF staff have responsibility for achieving SSF’s strategic goals of Developing People, Improving Health and Wellbeing, and Strengthening Communities. SSF Sessional Workers have the specific responsibility of delivering SSF’s delivery programmes across our four key local authorities: Fife, Glasgow, North Ayrshire and Stirling. Sessional Workers may work on one or more of our delivery programmes.
Main Duties
- Plan and effectively lead community projects for local young people and/or families
- Develop a relationship with young people based on respect and trust, ensuring they have a safe place to develop their identity and place in society.
- Ensure SSF values are at heart of all delivery and support the wellbeing and development of participants.

About Aberlour Options Fife - Respite and Outreach
Options Fife Respite and Outreach provides a range of flexible support through outreach and overnight short breaks at weekends, evenings and school holidays to children and young people with complex learning disabilities and autism. We offer a high-quality child centred service providing positive and enabling experiences for the young people, supporting them through the challenges and complexities that enable them to work towards their individual outcomes and personal goals. We work closely with families and other professionals in providing support tailored around the child’s plan.
What we are looking for....
We are looking to recruit two Young People’s Worker Nights, working four nights on (10 hours per night) every second week. You will play a fundamental role in ensuring that the young people you work with have the best possible experience in working towards their objectives in line with their care plan, supporting children to progress within their individual outcomes. Whilst not without its challenges and demands, this is a highly rewarding role, where the work we do has a demonstrable impact on each young person's progress. Using a person-centred approach, you will provide enabling support ensuring the highest level of physical, personal, and emotional care. We support young people who have epilepsy, need personal care and need gastrostomy feeding. Aberlour, in conjunction with NHS, provides all staff with training.
We are looking for candidates who have a passion for working with young people with disabilities. It is desired but not essential that candidates hold a relevant qualification at an SCQF level 7 or above. Due to SSSC requirements you may be required to gain qualifications after starting with Aberlour.

The Royal College of General Practitioners Scotland is recruiting new members to the RCGP Scottish Patient Forum.
As a member of our Patient Forum, you will help to ensure that the patient voice is woven through the work of RCGP Scotland.
From feeding into policy consultation responses, to assisting with the development of campaigns and College communications; members of the RCGP Scottish Patient Forum will play a key role in helping to shape the work of the College in Scotland.
The Patient Forum operates as a virtual advisory group via Microsoft Teams. There will be up to 3 virtual meetings per year plus an online forum to communicate and to progress work outside of meetings. Members of the Patient Forum will be provided with advanced notice of these meetings.
This is a voluntary role for a term of up to three years.

This is a crucial post which will allow Forth Valley Advocacy to continue to provide high quality and person led Independent Advocacy services across the Forth Valley area.
As the Executive Officer, you will manage a team of energetic and enthusiastic Advocacy Workers, Team leader and Service Adminstrator. You will build strong partnerships with our funders, our referrers, external organisation, local communities and our colleagues in the NHS and Local Authorities. You will be the public face of Forth Valley Advocacy.
You will report and be accountable to the Chair and the Board of Trustees.
You will bring enthusiasm and leadership skills to the organisation during this exciting period of growth.
At present our office base is in Falkirk but hybrid working arrangements are in place, allowing for some working from home.
