Role
Dundee International Women’s Centre is an award-winning voluntary organisation, recognised throughout Scotland for it’s work with isolated and disadvantaged BAME women.
We provide a safe space where women can access social, skills-based and formal learning and training, giving them the confidence and opportunities to widen their horizons and meet their goals.
We need an enthusiastic, conscientious team player, who is creative and inventive in presenting new technology in an educational centre for women.
The role of this job is to upskill staff and learners in digital usage, to review and update training materials, present information in an engaging way, and to digitise materials to enhance learner and staff experience.
There are 2 jobs which could potentially be done by one person
Working as part of the Violence Against Women project and/or Prevent project team, you will need an understanding of translating content to digital teaching materials.
It will be advantageous if you have:
• The ability to research and keep up to date with social media trends (Prevent)
• A degree in an IT related subject
• Experience of training/teaching
• A knowledge of structural inequality

Through a combination of community work, youth work and our Social Enterprise Community Café we aim to address the unmet needs of this group. We deliver this through a combination of paid workers and volunteers.
This role would be ideally suited to candidates who have previous experience working in a community development setting with individuals and families experiencing hardship and a wide range of challenges.

Young People’s Support and Trauma Worker

We are looking to recruit a Young People’s Support and Trauma Worker (30 hours per week)
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in providing support to people using trauma informed support skills and have a sound knowledge of the impact of rape, sexual abuse and exploitation on survivors. This is a key role in Glasgow and Clyde Rape Crisis Centre providing specific prevention and education services for the benefit of children, young people and learners participating in further and higher education. Our prevention service is known as Rosey, which stands for Rape Crisis Offering Support and Education to Young People.
The role requires a strong commitment to anti-discriminatory and equalities work and must demonstrate experience and confidence in developing, delivering, and evaluating innovative and engaging events with a range of diverse participants. The post holder will be capable in representing the service externally across agencies and representing GCRC in relevant networks, forums and working groups. Experience and understanding of working within an organisation that operates within a feminist, equalities and human rights framework is preferable for this role. Joining an already established team, this role will work to the Team Leader for the Project, whilst also being accountable for maintaining and applying the values, principles, and competences for the role to the Director of the Centre.
