Responsibilities
- Acting in a supervisory role with oversight of overall media strategy.
- Establishing media monitoring systems that detect news instantly as it breaks.
- Managing provision of communications and press advice.
- Implementing media and digital communication strategy.
- Identifying potential
media opportunities and acting as media contact.
- Organising and arranging interviews and press conferences as specified.
- Identifying forthcoming events, in turn promoting my work.
- Developing creative new engagement methods for social media accounts.
- Representing me in dealing with media and providing statements where appropriate.
- Producing materials that effectively convey my aims to
the general public and media.
- Keeping up to date with current media developments.
- Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
- Corresponding with constituents and local campaign groups.
- Producing high quality press briefings, speeches, presentations and written materials.
- Following all media outlets to capture relevant developments as they
happen

Requirements
You will:
- Have an interest in politics with the confidence to represent someone in a media-related capacity.
- Be capable in monitoring media developments and sourcing information from a range of channels.
- Have the ability to foster good working relationships with confidence to understand how the media world operates.
- Be creative in designing and communicating over a range of formats on different media platforms.
- Have flexibility using relevant IT skills and writing styles, covering both traditional and newer forms of media.

The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills and the ability to demonstrate impact with multiple stakeholders including charity partners and funders.
Christ Church Morningside (Scottish Episcopal Church) is seeking to appoint a new Church Manager to be responsible for the management and administration of all resources needed in order to support the life of Christ Church.
Reporting to the Rector, the successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an administration role, and experience of managing and delivering projects (preferably individually and alongside others). Experience of events planning and delivery, facilities management and of Health & Safety legislation, policies, procedures, and risk assessments would be an advantage.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is able to work on their own initiative and to meet deadlines, has strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks/projects, has an demonstrable ability to work with people, strong administrative and IT skills and the ability to confidently communicate with people in writing and verbally to diverse audiences.

Lived Experience Panel Lead (Fife)

The Scottish Recovery Consortium is passionate about building recovery from addiction in Scotland. Our response to the new strategy landscape is Support, Represent, Connect. Scotland has a rich history of people with lived experience using their experiences to improve services and structures for people still accessing support. Over the past few years, the emergence of Lived Experience Panels has created a unique opportunity to further embed our voices within the system. This post will support the development and growth of a Lived Experience Panel in Fife.
What the post involves:
• Work with people with lived experience, SRC, Fife ADP, treatment providers and local services to support the creation, development and integration of a Lived Experience Panel across Fife ADP.
• To support and coordinate the ongoing activities, development, and integration of Fife’s Lived Experience Panel.
• To support, coordinate, and train people with lived experience to develop an understanding of treatment and support systems. Utilise this learning and knowledge to cascade information more broadly across communities to increase the number of people in recovery who share their experience and contribute to local decision making about treatment and support.
• To support and offer peer mentor support to new and existing Lived Experience Panel members from across Fife to reflect on learning and experience of being a lived experience panel member.
• To link the work of the Lived Experience Panel and Fife ADP.
• To develop a links and relationships with all services that support people with addiction issues.
Our ideal candidate will have this experience and knowledge:
• Knowledge and experience of the recovery movement and people in recovery in in Fife and across Scotland.
• Knowledge and experience of addiction treatment services and system in Fife and Scotland.
• Experience in collaborating and jointly working with a range of key ADP stakeholders, key local providers and services and recovery communities in Fife.
• Evidence of high level on going personal development through formal or informal education, training or self-directed learning.
• Knowledge of how stigma affects people with addiction issues, why that happens and how can it be challenged and resolved.
• Knowledge of a rights-based approach and experience of having applied it in action.
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate these abilities and skills:
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Listening and observation skills that will be utilised across a range of different diverse groups, services and people in recovery and leaders across Fife ADP.
• Ability to communicate ideas in writing, in person and in presentations.
• Ability to co-ordinate a range of diverse groups, providers, recovery communities and leaders across Fife ADP.
• Strong organizational and administration skills.
• Ability to self-start and organise own workload.
• IT and social media skills.

We are seeking a strategic leader with a breadth of communication skills and with a proven track record of engaging positively with churches. The Scotland Lead is responsible for shaping and leading Home for Good’s work within the Scottish context. Central to this role is the responsibility of initiating, coordinating and overseeing Home for Good’s engagement with churches across Scotland, with an initial emphasis on the Central Belt. This includes building a network of volunteers, helping local churches to engage with the work and vision of Home for Good and inspiring and supporting Christians in their exploration of adoption, fostering and supported lodgings. Raising the profile and reach of Home for Good into new areas is imperative, with potential for developing contract agreements with local authorities and other fostering/adoption agencies to help sustain and grow Home for Good’s reach and impact in Scotland. Working with a wide range of churches and statutory agencies, the postholder will expand the missional aims of Home for Good, by helping to find a home for every child who needs one through fostering, adoption and supported lodgings.

The post-holder will be expected to model these core values and help shape team life.
