Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Trusts, Foundations and Major Giving Fundraising Manager to work towards securing significant income through charitable Grants, Trusts, Foundations, High Net worth individuals and Non-statutory Funding Bodies to fund general and specific projects
You will research and identifying appropriate funders whose criteria match our needs, preparing cases for support and submitting compelling written bids and complex grant applications as appropriate whilst building positive ongoing relationships keeping funders informed of our work to maximize the possibility of repeat grants
If successful you will be responsible or:
- Develop and submit high quality, compelling funding applications to Trusts and Foundations in relation to relevant projects.
- Identify and build relationships with major individual supporters with a focus on securing substantial new donations, and ensuring our pipeline of supporters is healthy.
- Nurture good relationships with existing and prospective donors, and develop stewardship programmes
- To undertake appropriate presentations and activities in relation to our Trusts and Foundations applications
- To liaise with all relevant internal and external bodies including The Lady Haig Poppy Factory and The Royal British Legion, Legion Scotland in order to develop and delivery applications for special projects.
- To represent Poppyscotland in a professional way that ensures appropriate communication with our supporters and stakeholders.
- To ensure grants are received, acknowledged and payment schedules are adhered to in order to ensure an excellent supporter experience at each step of the supporter journey.

LCIL is a user-led organisation providing a range of services that enable Disabled People to live independently in the community of their choice.
We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude to take responsibility for the effective strategic development and overall management of the SDS Development programme and Self Management Support projects including:
- Ongoing design and development of the programme and all of the activities within it to respond to the aspirations and needs of its participants
- Management, support and supervision, and development of staff and volunteers to achieve the above
- Ensuring that the programme is fully integrated within LCiL and LCiL’s core services
- Ensuring that knowledge and experience gained are disseminated within LCiL and to other organisations working in the field, especially other Disabled People’s Organisations
- Working in partnership with Edinburgh’s and Midlothian’s Health and Social Care Partnership

The Charity:
Cruse Scotland is Scotland’s only open-to-all bereavement support charity, providing support to bereaved adults, families and children across Scotland for the last 50 years.
Research suggests there were approximately 49,900 people in need of bereavement support in Scotland in 21/22. The data shows that our staff and volunteers working together reached approximately 10% of this population. This shows a significant reach and impact for an organisation with a small staff infrastructure that is dependent almost entirely on highly skilled volunteers for service delivery. While this is a very significant achievement, we continue to work tirelessly to develop our services to enable us to reach even more people who need our help.
The positive impact of Cruse on those we support (in terms of improved mental and physical wellbeing, reduced need for GP and other medical assistance and earlier return to work) is clearly demonstrated by our evidence-based evaluation.
We have ambitious plans for growth and development to help us to reach more bereaved people and we are looking for an excellent candidate to lead the organisation to deliver our strategy.
Development Worker (Self Directed Support and Self Management Projects)

LCIL is a user-led organisation providing a range of services that enable Disabled People to live independently in the community of their choice.
LCiL are recruiting for a part time Development Worker to support two projects to deliver workshops and peer support groups to disabled people, those with long term conditions and parent carers across Edinburgh and the three Lothians.
Self Directed Support Programme’s aim is to offer information and capacity building and peer support opportunities to help people self empower and live more independent lives, working across Edinburgh and the three Lothians. (14 hours per week)
Self Management Project’s aim is to ensure that people living with long term conditions in Edinburgh and Midlothian receive the right help at the right time and are empowered to be regularly involved in, and responsible for, their own health and wellbeing. (7 hours per week).
LCIL is looking for someone with:
- Experience of the creation, design and delivery of workshops and peer support groups
- Experience of the creation, design and delivery of workshops and/or information services
- Experience of managing a case load working 1-1 with individuals
