Dundee International Women’s Centre is an award-winning voluntary organisation, recognised throughout Scotland for its work with isolated and disadvantaged BAME women.
We provide a safe space where women can access social, skills-based and formal learning and training, giving them the confidence and opportunities to widen their horizons and meet their goals.
About the role:
This is a new post which gives the holder the scope to develop the Connecting Cultures Project. Connecting Cultures aims to promote inclusion and resilient communities while challenging divisive narratives, extremism in all forms and hate crime.
You will:
• Create training materials to be used in adult learning classes and run workshops with parenting groups, covering issues like disinformation, cultural division, hate crime, radicalisation and racism.
• Work with other relevant organisations and the Scottish Government to increase understanding of vulnerable people and the effect these issues have on them.
You will be
• Committed to bringing people from different communities together
• Knowledgeable about the Contest Framework in Scotland
• An excellent organiser, able to set and meet targets
• Able to design and deliver group training
