The No.1 Befriending Agency is a vibrant local social enterprise that works to reduce loneliness and isolation. We endeavour to ensure that older people can thrive in later life. We work with our dedicated volunteers to provide the support that local older people need to live happy, healthy lives. We work to help older people stay connected with their communities, alleviating loneliness, improving health and wellbeing and making communities stronger through volunteering. As a Volunteer Coordinator you will perform a vital function in developing and supporting a volunteer team who will be contributing to the heritage project. You will assess service users and support them through the journey with the organisation.
You will work towards developing an excellent working relationship with our volunteers and clients and continuously strive to improve the level of overall event service that the organisation is providing. Connecting people with each other and the right information is mission-critical. Flexibility combined with strong organisational skills and good prioritisation abilities are key to success in this role. Occasional evening and weekend working will be necessary.
