  • Glasgow

MND Scotland is made up of impassioned and dedicated individuals, and we now have a fantastic opportunity for you to join an organisation that is making a huge impact on the lives of people across Scotland who are living with MND.

We’re looking for a compassionate and empathetic Wellbeing Support Lead to join our Support Development Directorate.

Reporting to the Director of Support Development, you will contribute to a range of aspects of service delivery, planning and service development.

People affected by MND are at the heart of all that we do and as part of the MND Scotland team, you will lead on the provision of life-enhancing Wellbeing Support directly to those affected by MND.

We are looking for someone who is a qualified Counsellor and has experience of facilitating groups for people with life-limiting conditions, their carers and family members to lead and further develop our Wellbeing Services. These currently consist of Counselling, Complementary Therapies, Physiotherapy and an on-line Peer Support Group. The services are delivered by a team of self-employed Counsellors, Complementary Therapists and Physiotherapists. As we re-open our face to face services you will personally facilitate some groups, and will support local Support Co-ordinators to facilitate others. It is therefore important that you have management expertise and experience, which you may have gained in the voluntary, public or private sectors and in a professional or voluntary capacity.

If you are someone who works well under pressure, who can manage an often varied and time-sensitive workload and who believes in our vision of a world without Motor Neuron Disease, then we would love to hear from you. Together we will make time count.
