Role

It is an exciting time to join Sustrans Scotland, we are future proofing our structure to support our delivery in Scotland, allowing us to make Scotland a healthier, and happier place for all those who live and visit here.

As the Service and Performance Improvement Manager you will work across Programmes and Functions in Scotland supporting business change. The focus of this role is managing change rather business-as-usual performance.

Initially, you will support the bedding in of the new structure before moving on to developing an overarching approach to continuous improvement within the organization with demonstrable impact on performance.

You will drive and deliver key high profile and strategic internal change projects across Sustrans Scotland, with a focus on improvements in processes, systems, and ways of working to improve organisational effectiveness, which will drive improved performance across all areas.

This role will require some travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans. Candidates should be based reasonable commuting distance of Glasgow or Edinburgh hubs, with the opportunity to work from home part of the time.

About you

A skilled communicator, you will build effective working relationships easily; allowing you to work collaboratively across the organisation, with senior leaders, as well as using learning and support from UK colleagues.

Using your extensive change and project management experience, you will conduct end to end project management activities and steer projects including handling issues, interdependencies and delivering project status reports at regular intervals.

You will have delivered business change previously in a complex organisation, promoted continuous improvement and have a proven track-record in delivering change which impacts an organisation’s effectiveness and efficiency.
