As Policy & Public Affairs Manager you’ll help us achieve our vision of a world where diabetes does no harm. This is a senior role which will lead all policy and public affairs work across Scotland.
As Policy & Public Affairs Manager you will lead on the development and delivery of policy, public affairs, knowledge and insight in order to drive influencing and campaigns in pursuit of our strategic outcomes. You’ll do this by working alongside people living with, and at risk of, diabetes and collaborating with colleagues across the UK. You will also have a key focus on supporting the National director in external engagement, influencing, networking and partnership working to improve outcomes for people living with, and at risk of, diabetes in Scotland.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have significant experience in a similar role. You will be able to demonstrate evidence of developing policy positions, of influencing policy within Government, parliament and across the health system and leading impactful campaigns. You will have excellent writing skills and be able to communicate and build relationships in a compelling way with a wide range of people - demonstrating strong personal credibility. You will have proven experience working in health policy and expertise and/or a strong understanding of the inequalities and mental health agendas.
