Role

It’s an exciting time to join Health in Mind as we celebrate our 40th year. We’ve been promoting positive mental health and wellbeing in Scotland since 1982 (we know we don’t look old enough).

Every year, 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health difficulty so we work together with local communities towards a Scotland where mental health is understood, and people can lead fulfilling lives.

About our digital services

Our Digital Services have seen real growth in the last couple of years and we have big plans to further develop them and identify new digital opportunities to support even more people across Scotland.

Our services include online information and self-management websites:

  • iThrive Edinburgh
  • Eastspace
  • Midspace
  • West Space

These services are online spaces for mental health and wellbeing information in Edinburgh, East Lothian, Midlothian and West Lothian.

They provide

  • local information about mental health and wellbeing services and supports
  • a platform to promote positive mental health and wellbeing through connecting people to local activities, spaces and places
  • resources to support self-help and self-management

Health in Mind manage these services but it’s a community effort. Each service has an engaged and enthusiastic reference group that helps to shape the information, supports the promotion and reviews feedback.

The reference groups include people with lived experience of mental health difficulties, carers and representatives from a wide range of charities and local community organisations.

What you’ll be doing

As Team Leader for Digital Services, you’ll manage and develop our Digital Services and a small but mighty team of amazing staff and volunteers.

It’s a new role within the organisation and you’ll get to make a big impact.

All key tasks are outlined in the job description document.

What you will bring to the role

We’re looking for someone with a real passion for mental health and all things digital. Someone who can fit with our values and who wants to make a positive difference by ensuring people have access to accurate and engaging information and resources.

The person specification document fully outlines what experience, skills, knowledge and qualities we’re looking for. When completing the application form please address each point listed – if you don’t have experience in something then let us know how you can gain that skill or knowledge.
