Role

Care to join us? Then come reach your full potential at Quarriers.

Do you have a passion for people and care about helping others live fulfilling lives? We are looking for caring individuals who share Quarriers values.

Quarriers have Investors in People Platinum accreditation.

We are offering a wonderful opportunity for a driven and focused individual to join the very successful and high performing Income Generation Department as a Grants Officer. Quarriers provides practical care and support for vulnerable children, adults and families who face extremely challenging circumstances across Scotland. We challenge poverty and inequality of opportunity to bring about positive changes in people’s lives.

The Grants Officer role will work within the Grants Team to help transform the lives of the people supported by Quarriers by writing compelling, concise and convincing proposals to, and managing relationships with, a range of funders, including governmental bodies, lottery distributors, trusts and foundations, in order to maximise income for existing and new Quarriers services.

You will also work collaboratively with the wider Income Generation Department to provide mutual support as necessary and to optimise opportunities for developing Quarriers’ business through synergies between grants and tenders.

This great opportunity is suited to someone who is ambitious, enjoys a fast paced environment, and has excellent organisational skills, ideally with a background in Grants, Trusts and Foundations although not essential. It would be advantageous for you to have knowledge of the third sector or commercial organisations as well as experience in developing strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

This is a critical role, engaging and communicating effectively with a wide range of internal staff and external organisations. If you are a candidate that wants to challenge yourself to deliver real results and in turn be able to see the revenue being used for positive work then we want to hear from you.

The post would be suited to someone who is innovative, organised, driven to succeed and has experience within Grants as well as strong relationship management.
