Role

Energy Saving Trust is a leading and trusted organisation, dedicated to promoting energy efficiency, low carbon transport and sustainable energy use. We aim to address the climate emergency and deliver the wider benefits of clean energy as we transition to net zero.

The role

Reporting to the Challenge Fund Service Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the Low Carbon Travel and Transport Challenge Fund delivered by Energy Saving Trust on behalf of Transport Scotland. This will include correspondence with grantees to collect reports, evidence for claims, arranging meetings/workshops and other activities to guide projects to completion.

You will be part of the wider Transport team that works with a diverse range of programmes, with opportunities to learn and be involved in some of these projects.

What you’ll do

  • Work with Energy Saving Trust colleagues and other key stakeholders (Transport Scotland) to support the successful delivery of the Low Carbon Travel and Transport Challenge Fund
  • Work with colleagues to ensure the Challenge Fund is operated in compliance with Energy Saving Trust procedures and all relevant EU legislation such as those relating to recording, reporting and procurement
  • Provide accurate evidence from grantees to ensure compliance with the necessary European Regional Development fund (ERDF) legislation.

What you’ll bring

  • Excellent numeracy skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand and apply complex material as well as convey clearly to others
  • Strong organisational and project management skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritise multiple tasks seamlessly.

This is a permanent position. We are open to flexible working patterns and blended (home and office-based) working is possible for this role.
