The Partnership

The Highland Community Waste Partnership (HCWP) is a new three-year programme funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, and coordinated by Keep Scotland Beautiful, which will be implemented in collaboration with eight partner community groups across the Highlands.

The project will seek to build collaboration across the eight partner community groups and beyond, aiming to reduce consumption and waste across the Highlands, and establishing a movement focused on more sustainable consumption, consistent with a Net Zero future.

What the role is

As our Stakeholder Engagement Officer you will facilitate and support the development and delivery of stakeholder engagement and communications relating to the HCWP and the overall programme of activity.

This will include developing and implementing a programme-wide approach to stakeholder engagement and communications; driving internal and external stakeholder engagement via the Delivery Group (comprising representatives from the eight partner community groups) and suitable external channels, platforms, and networks; and providing appropriate advice and support on engagement for specific projects and activities.

This post is 0.5FTE (17.5 hours per week)

What you’ll need to have

We are looking for someone with an understanding/experience of planning and delivery of stakeholder engagement and communications activity through their experience of presenting complex information clearly to a range of audiences. You will have the ability to develop relationships and influence people whilst maintaining and enhancing successful working partnerships.

Having an understanding/experience of current social media techniques and the ability to communicate clearly is key as is the ability to create compelling content for different channels and audiences, in particular website content. This post also requires you to have a full, valid UK driving licence.
