Role

SAMH (the Scottish Association for Mental Health) is a charity working across Scotland. Every year, we provide over a million hours of support to people who need our help. Every week, we work with around 3,000 individuals in over 60 services. Every day, we campaign for better mental health for the people of Scotland.

The SAMH National Employment Team operates high quality services to support customers to access and sustain employment. As part of our package of Employability services, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team and make a positive impact on the lives of the people we support.

For Scotland’s Mental Health

Working closely with all mental health services, you will work with people using Glasgow mental health services, employers and professional networks to secure employment.

You will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of best practice in mental health provision and/or in the provision of employability and employment services. For the IPS role, a working knowledge of IPS in particular would be an advantage, but full IPS training will be provided.

We are looking for initiative, creativity, energy and determination and the ability to motivate, develop and inspire individuals to develop their self-confidence and realise their aspirations. You will be a self-starter, thrive in a multi-agency setting and have an appetite to promote this innovative approach.

As this post will involve travel across Glasgow a full driving licence and access to your own transport is essential.
